The commencement of Npower program seemed like a magic to many Nigerians because unlike the past government who make different promises and never keep to them, this present administration ensured that she kept the promise of empowering over 500 hundred thousand Nigerians with a skill.

During the registration of successful candidates  in 2016, the candidates  were asked to select a device of their choice as these devices would be used as instructional materials in their respective work places. After the device selection, a grouping was made and some candidates fell into Batch A and B..

Those who were grouped into batch B were mainly those whose did their verification late and those who couldn’t access their NPVN portal due to some data misplacement issues.  After a while a whole lot was fixed to enable all the Npower beneficiaries to select their devices.

The available devices were Tecno pad, Afrione two in one tablet, Samsung tablet,  Brian Pad,  HP tablet,  and others. Then after selection, the beneficiaries waited for over 6 months with no news on distribution. This made  most Nigerians  believe the devices werent going to be distributed but they were all surprised in August 2017 when device collection for Batch A started.

After the batch As had collected, a new state of oblivion commenced as the batch Bs started asking questions like :

  • When will Npower batch B device collection commence?
  • Will there still be distribution  of Npower Device?
  • I have not collected my device why?

Well, if you are among those who asked the above questions, we have good news for you. Npower 2016 Batch B device collection has commenced in Lagos and it is expected to commence in Abuja and Port Harcourt soon. After a successful distribution in the major states it shall commence in other states. Isn’t that good news?

This is the time for the batch Bs to enjoy their devices as some of the Batch As have either lost or damaged their devices. So good luck to  all those who would be collecting their devices. You would all be contacted via text message to assemble at different locations for collection.
